About the 2026 event

Qiskit Fall Fest

Qiskit Fall Fest is a student-led, worldwide series of events that brings people together to learn and think about quantum computing.

This year's edition celebrates 10 years since IBM introduced the world's first open-access quantum computer on the cloud, a milestone that transformed quantum computing from a niche research field into a globally accessible technology.

Anyone with an interest in quantum computing can participate. That includes students, researchers, and professionals.

Follow the timetable ↘

01

Learn

Day 1 foundations: an IBM lecture, then your first circuit — including a run on real hardware.

02

Build

Day 2 algorithms: IBM lecture, a BB84 lab, then hackathon rules, teams and setup.

03

Compete

Friday is Prompt to Qubit: three rounds, 200 minutes of hacking, demos, judging and awards.

The 2026 timetable

Three days. One bold finish.

IBM lectures sit next to local labs. Friday closes with Prompt to Qubit — a three-round hackathon, team demos and awards.
